#12-9/1001 Books for Trinity

The cooler days make for good reading times. Here are two new ones we read this week:

Lucky Clucky by Tony Blundell
- This is the story of Little Red Hen with a cute twist. Trinity loved all the farm animals but the story was a little long for her. She needed to move to the floor and listen while she played.

Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss
- For some reason Trinity thought the pictures in this book were soooo funny. It is so interesting how kids find some things funny but other things we think should make them laugh just don't. This book is a classic. Always a good read.

I am sorry that my post has offended you...I did not intend to do so. I was having a frustrating evening with my daughter and her homework...it was a vent...I thought it was light hearted (most of my regular readers would know as much about me...)
My husband is an elementary school teacher, so I am fully aware of the politics behind homework. I simply don't agree that homework is helpful or necessary. ALMOST ever. (My husband agrees).

I challenge you to read this book by Alfie Kohn:

Sorry to post my comment here...I didn't know if you would come back for another visit over on my blog...and I wanted to make sure you got my apology.
